In 2017, Tobias Lohf and Marc Schie\u00dfer founded Outside the Club GmbH<\/em> with the goal of producing feature films and series as an independent film production company, with a strong focus on genre films. They take on a dual role as producers and key creative heads. Marc Schie\u00dfer is a screenwriter and director, while Tobias Lohf is the Producer and cinematographer.<\/p>\n

Their first joint series, WISHLIST<\/em>, won the Grimme Award, the Web Video Award, and the German Television Award in 2017 and was continued with a second season in 2018.<\/p>\n

In 2020, as a creative duo, they directed the pilot episodes of the comedy series ALMANIA<\/em> for the ARD Mediathek, one of the platform\u2019s most successful formats.<\/p>\n

As co-producers of HAUS KUMMERVELDT<\/em>, a historical crossover series by Goldstoff Filme, they helped bring the project to the ARD and ARTE Mediathek. After premiering at the Max Oph\u00fcls Film Festival, Haus Kummerveldt was screened at over 45 national and international film and web festivals, earning multiple awards, including Best Lead Actress, Best Production Design, Best Director, and Best Costume Design. In 2024, the series was honored with the Grimme Award Special.<\/p>\n

Outside the Club went on to produce another feature film, the third German Amazon Original, TRUNK, a kidnapping drama chamber piece starring Sina Martens. The film was released in over 220 countries, thrilling genre fans worldwide.<\/p>\n

In addition to their work as a film production company, Outside the Club operates as a visual effects studio for high-end productions, specializing in theatrical projects such as THE ASSESSMENT<\/em> for augenschein Filmproduktion, starring Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander, as well as streaming projects like three seasons of HOW TO SELL DRUGS ONLINE (FAST)<\/em> for Netflix, DIE WESPE<\/em> for Sky, and ODERBRUCH<\/em> for the ARD Mediathek.<\/p>\n

Tobias Lohf and Marc Schie\u00dfer are fellows of the Mediengr\u00fcnderzentrum NRW<\/em>, members of Filmb\u00fcro NW<\/em>, and part of the Producers Association PROG \u2013 Producers of Germany<\/em>.<\/p>\n
