Marc Schießer is a passionate filmmaker (with a weird letter in his name) who has not yet given up his base in the provincial town of Wuppertal, partly due to the affordable rents for his company, Outside the Club. Since 2016, he has worked there as the Managing Director of Fiction and is primarily responsible for the award-winning mystery series Wishlist. Together with Tobias Lohf as a producer, otc (the pseudo-hip short form) brings Marc’s vision of German genre to life for an international audience. A current example is the Prime Video Original thriller Trunk, for which he not only directed and wrote the script but also, as with most of his projects, handled the editing. While otc has also made a name for itself as a VFX-studio, Marc is frequently available for fresh and exciting commissioned work as well, such as the first episodes of the successful comedy series Almania or an episode script for Amazon’s Maxton Hall. Marc is a dedicated film freak whose love for audiovisual storytelling has shaped his entire life, and he is certain that his most exciting works are still ahead of him.
